We won’t warm much today, even with the sunshine, as the Arctic air mass and associated high pressure remain in command of the situation today. Another frigid night tonight as we’ll drop back into single digits again.
Saturday we’ll begin to see warming conditions as a low level ridge will begin to move to the south of the region. This will put us in a warmer flow and allow for temperatures to push toward the freezing point. Some of us might get above freezing, but I see temperatures in the lower 30s for Saturday.
Expanding on Saturday’s warm-up Sunday will be a bit warmer and even into the 40’s on Monday ahead of our next chance of precipitation on Tuesday. That round of precipitation is courtesy of an upper level disturbance that will pass through the region, giving us a chance for rain and possibly an overnight mix in the area.
However, Wednesday and Thursday will still be above normal with temperatures into the 40s.
Here’s your Quickcast:
Tonight: Clearing continues, lots of starshine. Lows in the single digits.
Saturday: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in the lower 30s.
Saturday night: Not as cold, temperatures in the mid-teens.
Sunday: Partly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid-30s.
